Spring Flowers

Fred and I went for a short hike on the south side of Hillfield Road on March 29. It was a pleasant day and you could say that spring was in the air.

I was really surprised that the trail looks like it has nobody hiking on it recently. That is a beautiful section of the Croatan National Forest, with lots of hills and valleys with lovely streams.

We hiked down to Hunters Creek and went off trail a bit. We got back on the trail as the sun was setting and managed to get back to our vehicles before dark.
