Equipment Recovery

I had to go out in daylight today (November 27) to find the pedometer that jumped out of my pocket on my night hike with Fred last night. I took my hound dog because he always loves to go for a hike in the forest.

I ran into another hiker and I gave him the URL for this web-site, so, maybe, he’ll be reading this. It was mostly an uneventful hike. I did find the lost pedometer. I’ve apparently taken 7800 steps since I found it.

The leaves are mostly brown and/or on the ground, now. There is always some green in the Croatan, but it’s definitely looking like winter is close. The track below is an approximation of my walk, today. The actual trail isn’t nearly that straight. 😉

This is David Lynch, we met yesterday on Weetock trail, and I got your message about going for a night hike tonight…but you didn’t leave your phone number or email. I’ll leave my phone on, then I’ll head out from what you’re calling lollipop road going towards hillfield @8pm, maybe meet up with you then If you get this but not in time, send me an email with your phone number. I was thinking tomorrow night also looks like a good night for a moon hike.
